Too outrageous for prime time, listen to Fausto as he dives into the heart of Chicago's GLBTQQQ (the extra q's are for qwazy and qwacked) community, as he chats at the Pressie Awards ceremony with the deelicious Patty Elvis, Miss Foozie, Frida Lay, Lauren Jacobs, Scott Free, Sukie de la Croix, Al from L.A., and Michael L Jackson's attorney, Jon Erickson. Lots of colorful, outrageous, and bizzare folks on one single podcast.

Feast of Fools.net - 48 Hour Day - 04.28.05
Click here to listen to the Feast of Fools Podcast, Thursday April 28, 2005

The most boring and painful podcast on the 'net! Listen to the intimate life of Fausto Fernós, as he goes to work in Gay Newspaper USA, and then pays a visit to his dentist to get a crown and cavity filled. Thankfully there are people at work (like Jason Smith) and at the dentists office (like Dr. Sara) who make the bordom and pain of life magically dissapear.
On tomorrow's show: Fausto continues his amazing, bizzare, painful 48-hour day with the Pressie Awards, Patty Elvis, Scott Free, and "Al" from L.A. Actually, I had a BLAST at the Pressie Awards show, which made up for the challenging morning I had.
ENTER OUR CONTEST! Send us your most outrageous photo (only 2 pics per entry) to our email address (feastoffools at gmail dot com), and the most viewed/commented/voted on photo wins a FLICKR PRO account! What a deal!

Fausto and Marc are SO looking forward to wacthing Rosie O'Donnell play a retarded lesbian (well okay, she's an asexual autistic woman) on a made for tv movie on Sunday. Also transgendered Hindusexual woes, Apple computer trash talk, and a very special phone call from Jennifer, the Girl on Tech.

You TOO can write to the Pope!
His email is benedictxvi@vatican.va
(This isn't a joke)
Write him a letter and tell him how you feel, see what he says!
Here's mine:
••••••••••
Hi there Benedict XVI-
I live in the Windy City of Chicago, IL in the United States, a country whose War in Iraq was denounced by your predecessor John Paul II as immoral. But enough about him. My letter is to you.
I am wondering, why do you dislike gay people so much? To call a person like me "objectively disordered" is sort of mean, isn't it? To be honest, I've said some pretty cruel things about you behind your back, but then again I don't really know you. I don't know what I would have done if I had been forced to be in the Hitler Youth movement when I was a small kid. I don't really know you as a person, so all my criticisms of you are purely political, not personal.
To be honest your highness, I'm a little jealous of you. (I'm admitting the sin of jealously)
I want live with just one man, while you get to live with hundreds. I want to wear fabulous gowns and be adored by thousands of people, just like you are. I want to have my personal needs attended to by chaste young men just like your predecessor had before him, just like you will. Can ordinary people become the Pope? Can there be more than one Pope at a time?
You and I even have the same birthday, April 16th! Is that a coincidence or what? What do you think about starting your own podcast show, or weblog? I bet it would be very popular.
Do you watch any television shows? My favorite is the Simpsons. Just curious to know what you do in your free time when you aren't smiling in your beautiful gown, kneeling before God, or trying to stop gays from getting legally married in Spain.
Sincerely, your furry blue pal
Fausto Fernos

It takes the podcast, and it puts it in the iPod. Yes it does.
Okay, this week our faithful listener Marc (not my boyfriend) sent us word of this band called Greenskeepers which does a fabulous tribute song to "Silence of the Lambs" called "Lotion".
Here is the video of their song with appropriated footage from the movie.
Fausto gives them a crystal skull award, which means this video and the song doesnt suck. I want to see them perform next time they are in town!

Casualties of War.
Click here to see the hilarious laugh-inducing patriotic video by Dennis Maldone, former stunt coordinator for StarTrek Voyager, Next Generation and Deep Space Nine, now turned nationalistic rocker after 9/11/01.
It seems he got his buddies from Paramount Studios to help generate the "special effects" which make him look like some worn out roadie-jesus. If you look hard at his poorly designed website (which seems to make my browser freeze up) you can see that in big bold letters: "100% OF ALL DONATIONS GO TO ORGANIZATION OF YOUR CHOICE." Whatever that means.
This reminds me a lot of my friend Shawn Martin, who totally lost it after 9/11 and decided to release an album of music to "honor those who died." All he did was drive himself crazy, homless, and into mental institutions.
Another casualty of the events surrounding Sep. 11. May all these tortured souls find peace.
Thanks to Feast of Fools veterans Merrie Greenfield and David Cerda for this gem!

Compromise
I guess the lawyers setteled the Star Jones-Flotilla PETA ad dispute. Here is the result.
Do you guys think this is a compromise? I thought the original photo was funnier, but I can see now why the lawyers balked at it. It put the idea in people's heads of going up to the REAL Star Jones Reynolds and spray painting on the back of her fur coat "FUPA is a DRAG." -Thanks Aaron!

Hard to belive, but true.
The iPod accessories company PodGear has released a new product that allows you to convert your iPod or iPod mini into a electric shaver. Is this a hoax?
From the company's website:" The launch of the PodShave enables iPod users to free their stubble whilst listening to their favourite music, not only this but as the shaving device runs directly from the iPod battery, hairy friends are able to shave almost anywhere – be it in the high street, on the Tube or just relaxing at home. PodShave’s superb design simply clips on to the top of the iPod and gives instant shaving delight, not only this but it collects all loose hair via its vacuum like stubble collector!"
Would be great to have a photo of Madge shaving her legs with one of these. Would make a great Birthday Present for Madge Weinstein! (Her birthday was March 30th).

Feast of Fools.net - Eight Year Anniversary Show - 04.01.05
Click here to listen to the Feast of Fools Podcast, Friday April 1, 2005

Today, the Feast of Fools turns 8. Happy Birthday Baby! You've come a long, long way. On today's show, Fausto goes back BACK to his roots, to talk on the phone with his art teacher, mystical real-life amazon, former nun, performance art-guru Linda Montano. In my own opinion, Linda was one of THE early pioneers of Performance Art, and in a sense reality television. In the 1970's Linda extensively documented her personal life with her husband Mitchell Payne.
Linda is the woman behind the often quoated phrase"Life=Art, Art=Life." - Linda's life's work in a way, has laid the foundation for what is now known as "Reality Television" as much as PBS 1973 grounbreaking documentary "An American Family." A decade later in 1983, Linda spent an entire year tied at the waist with performance artist Tehching Hsieh and they never touched. What's even better is that it seems one of the writers of the Simpsons reffered to the piece in the "Parent Rap" episode where Homer is ordered to be tied (by an eight foot rope) to his son Bart for being a bad father. I dedicate this Feast of Fools anniversary show to Linda Montano, without her, I would be someplace far far away...
Linda Montano's new book: "Letters From Linda Montano" is avaiable hardcover and softcover (much cheaper).
Also on todays show: Ugly computers, winner of "Victoria Lamarr is a big star" contest, and more about the family feud with Wanda Wisdom.
