I love it when you have Amanda Stienstein on! Her voice just wakes you up (although I'd hate to wake up everyday to it). Good show Fausto/Marc.
Marc floored me a little when he said that southeners are racist... but then I realized that he's largely correct..... it's just that nobody is outwardly racists anymore around me, so I'm sort of shielded from reality.
Atlanta (my home) is to the south like Chicago is to IL. In other words there's Chicago and then there's the rest of the state. Different ways of life and different personalities. Same with ATL....I think the ATL is an island of liberalism in a sea of red staters.... and with that goes less racisim.

hey, where are the nudies?

Mike and John,
I didn't mean to paint in broad strokes with that comment. Of course I don't think every southerner is racist, but I do believe that racism plays a big part in southern politics especially in the last election and the support for the war on Iraq.

Vic and others,
The bet was the nudie pic would be posted if Bewitched is a bad movie, as bad as the Stepford Wives. Fausto is absolutely trying to convince me that it is a horrible movie. I simply can't agree to that. We missed the first ten minutes of it. We are always on PR time!
I found the movie corny for sure, but it had a lot of funny moments. The new plotline was interesting but I think David Cerda could have retooled it better. David would have gayed it up considering half the original cast was gay, well Darren, Endora, Uncle Albert for sure.
There was no gay inuendo at all, not even from that flaming queen Uncle Albert! So that was dissapointing, but to say it was as bad as the Stepford Wives, I don't think so! Parts of the movie were very charming. Nicole Kidman acting like Meg Ryan was funny to me. Wil Ferell had some good shtick going on. Samantha's friends were funny characters, one a man chaser and one a man hater. Aunt Clara, altough essentially mimicing the same character as in the tv show was very charming. Endora was underutilized and not bitchy enough, but she had a couple of good things going on. Samantha's father played by Michael Caine was ok, but no great depth.
Uncle Albert was the worst of all. I never liked Paul Lynne and I think that the actor playing Uncle Albert didn't like him much either. He really seemed to not enjoy being his character. There was no Dr. Bombay or Esmerelda. Most dissappointing was Amy Sedaris as Gladys Kravitz. She was on screen only at the end and for like 5 seconds. I can only hope for a sequel if only to see Amy Sedaris as Mrs. Kravitz!
Well, I am not much of a movie reviewer, but I would watch this movie again.

I lived in Austin Texas for six years, and my mother still lives there. Racial relations are very different in the south than they are in the midwest. Are there any KKK folks in the north?
I personally don't think southerners are any more or less accepting of people different from themselves than are midwesterners... that being said, the South DOES have a reputation for being "Pro-Slavery" (from the civil war) and for a lot of it's KKK affiliated politicians.
Segregation and prejudice are different things, and I personally feel that most southern urban areas tend to be more intergrated (especially the gay scene) than their midwestern equivalents. Atlanta and Austin have much better gay bars than Chicago does when it comes to diversity and inclusivity.
Do good fences make good neighbors? Not in this case. I think we all lose out when any community for whatever reason feels the need to isolate themselves and push others away, passively or violently. And think of all the delicious black cock and tight white anuses that aren't being enjoyed because of segregation.

Great show! I can't tell you how much I love Ms. Steinstein.
Amanda, consider having a Steinstein android commissioned, you could rent yourself out for parties!

Without going back and listening again, I think the question was asked: Why do so many American STILL support Bush's war in Iraq, and Marc's response was maybe it's because so many Southerners are racist, including racism against Iraqi's, so they support the war because they are racist against Iraqi's.
Granted, there is racism all over this country, including the South, but it's usually whites and blacks racitizing each other. I don't remember once ever witnessing racism against Iraqi's while growing up in the South.
I think support for the war can be blamed on ignorance (to name one thing) more than it can be blamed on racism.
Marc: it's Uncle Arthur, not Uncle Albert...and no paragraph breaks? Tsk tsk. You must be some new kind of fag.
And Fausto: Rosie, PLEASE!!!!! I need it for a CD I want to give a friend before she goes to Africa.
Pop Quiz: Who said, "Don't you want to, Daddy, don't it feel good? I always say, that's enough reason not to call it a freak of nature."

You are all such darlings. Believe me, if I could swing with Fausto and Marc every day, I would. But I don't want to make your ears bleed.
As far as an android of me for party rentals...why make an android when the real thing is available to party?

I'm new to the whole world of podcasting... but am quickly becoming an addict. Your show is one of my favorites! Thanks for such a great show!

Michael Wood sounds like a porn star's name. ARE you a porn star?
Said by: Fausto at June 30, 2005 06:43 PM
This is my favorite type of FoF show: Fausto and Marc and a guest (or two) in their condo talking about whatever... the key words were hilarious. I also generally enjoy the interviews you do on location, but the bull sessions are always a special treat.
And keep up the Dell DJ shoutouts! We need all the encouragement we can get : )

Me a porn star? Don't I wish... I think I'd stand a better chance of getting paid NOT to have sex in front of other people... :)
Said by: Michael Wood at June 30, 2005 09:18 PM
Michael Wood sounds like a pseudonym. It's a very good name to have. What do you do for a living? Sales, service, sex, showbusiness?
Tell us these things Mr. Wood. Because fandom is a two-way street! ha ha....
Email me a pic. Give me some trinket to show me you love me. Gimme gimmee.
Anyone know about RSS feeds, iTunes tags and Movable Type? I'm trying to get this thing working by monday...

Amanda is a treasure; have her on the show at any opportunity, guys! The chemistry between the three of you ROCKS! :-)
She can sit on *my* face any time... just don't smudge my make-up...
Said by: Koan Bremner at June 30, 2005 10:28 PM
You should alternate every day between V-Mar and Amanda Steinstein. Those are my two favorite types of shows.
(Though I'm sure they're both far too busy for that.)
