Feast of Fools #96 - Queen of the Cats - 06.23.05
Click here to listen to the Feast of Fools Podcast, Thursday June 23, 2005

You'll laugh! You'll cry! You'll want to listen to it again and again. On today's "Pod-CATS" your flaming-blue pal Fausto chats with hard-core Broadway industrial actor Joey Gyondla about all the mainstream musicals he's been in, including "Cats."
Listen to some wild backstage stories about this bizzare musical based on T.S. Elliot's poetry, and a take a total trip back to the 80's with the Feast of Fools!
If you want to donate to Joey's charity, he's trying to raise money for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago's marathon, and would LOVE it if you could contribute. It doesn't have to be much and it goes to a great charity here in Chicago, one that helps folks living with AIDS.
Check out these lovely photos of Joey in Cat-drag taken backstage when he performed in "Cat
s" in the late 80's early 90's.

Hey guys, haven't listened to this show yet, but I'm really looking forward to it. Cute kitty. Just wanted to let you know how much I like the new ID3 tags. I usually listen to podcasts in winamp, and they work much better in the media library. You can see what the show number is really easily instead of having to scan to the end of the tag. Thanks!

Thanks Dan–
It's all that good listener feedback that helps me out! There are so many people listening in so many ways, that if something bothers you, all you have to do is ask. Sometimes the reason you do something is because you just don't know a better way, until someone shows you.
Joey is a hot HOT pussy in his Cats-drag, and he's a lot of fun to hang around. After the conversation we went up to Devon street and stuffed ourselves with samosas and other southern vegetarain indian delights, to delicious to be able to pronounce correctly.
Is it too cliche to say "Meow"?

That interview took me back my 9th grade trip to NYC to see Cats. My icky bandfag roommates were appalled when I pulled out a 12-pack and "college night" passes to Palladium... I ended up with the "punk chick" and her friend out on the town! sniff...those were the days...(God am I old). Oh, and Cats was ok too.
Great show, he sounds like one cool cat! (<---for F.F. so you don't feel too cliche.)

What a cute and hot pussy. I never thought I'd ever type that line. I enjoy Joey's laugh. I'd take his pilates class if I'm in Chicago. I'll probably take me 10 years to show any phyisical result. That's provided that I don't quite after the first month.

Joey was in the "Beyond the Skull" Feast of Fools Live show where the crystal skull and I switched bodies ala "Freaky Friday"
He performed under the name "Shelby" and covered the Nirvana-Destiny's Child mix "Smells like Bootylicious" only it was ALL live music. And VERY hot.

Finally caught up on some shows and I loved this one. Joey's hilarious. You should have him on again sometime. And as always, it was great hearing from Puffy. He's got the cutest voice ever! (Puffy that is.)
Thanks again. :)

We're going out for drinks tomorrow night, so I'll make sure he reads these lovely comments. You know Broadway dancers can be so non-computer oriented.
