FOF #380 - You So Old - 09.01.06

They say it's your birthday John. We begin today's show with a barrage of 90% mostly original "you so old" jokes aimed at one of our most dedicated listeners John Marcotte who turns 100 today (not really.) Happy Birthday!
John and his partner Mike Hipp were one of our first listeners to our show and have listened to it every single day since the day we began.
Listen to today's show for the spicy details of Sal-E's trip to Saugatuck, Jackie Mason's lawsuit against Jews for Jesus (go Jackie!) Barbie's new poop scoop, a Chinese woman's car-driving dog and how a woman's breast implants saved her life.
Pictured to the right is a tasty cake in the shape of the Feast of Fools logo done by the talented Mr.Keithcakes.com This beautiful blue construction of confectionary delights was served at our one year anniversary Meet N Greet party on February 2006. I lovvvved that cake! You have no idea how much I loved that cake.
You so old, you're older than the number of shows the Feast of Fools podcast has done.

Hey guys!
It's Nick!
Could you give me a birthday shoutout? I'll be 15 on the 3rd.
BTW, I've contacted a few people and I got a few interviews coming your way...Those people probably wouldn't even mention me.
MUCH LOVE<3
Nick

Speaking of people doing weird stuff with pets. . .I had a pet turtle my dad and I caught in the Wisconsin River. We made a little cage for it with a swimming pond in the back yard, and I would take it for "walks". This consisted of putting the turtle in a dishpan with some water and a couple of large rocks for him to sit on, putting the dishpan in my little red wagon, and walking around the block with it. God, my neighbours must have thought I was soooooo sad! I was just a 5 year old who really wanted a dog. . .

Thanks for the b'day shoutout. Can I be the village elder? I hear they get special favors.

That show was an absolute masterpiece of off-the-cuff one-liners and witticisms. A "quiet" show to soothe the senses. I relish the different voices and guests who add to the magic of the Feast of Fools, but sometimes something magical can be gained by keeping things simple. It's like Michelangelo and the creation of his beautiful works of art; he takes away to reveal the essence of the marble, the truth of the staturio. Fausto and Marc have created their podcast Pietà today.

Hey guys, thank you so much for the birthday greeting for my John today. Also thank you for the plug for Soy Candles by Phebes! Fausto is right, I do have a little orgasm whenever I hear a SCbPs plug on the show.
One more thing... about the flickr shots of my dinner plate every night that I do. Keep checking back and you'll notice that John and I have gone vegetarian! Are you listening Mike Brazell, you hunky little PETA freak!?!

No, you will not turn purple if you pee in the pool. There is no such chemical. You're more likely to get damaged by all the chlorine in the pool than by someone else's pee.

Marc
I am not against vegetarians, I am against flawed logic being used to try and convince me that vegetarian is the way to go.
No real reason we are doing it, but it is not hard to do.
btw, if i sound funny it is because i can not use my apostrophe! When ever i use it, fucking firefox opens a search window!

I am not a piss queen!!!
but... um... if I were, I would be able to tell you that urine is relatively safe to drink, although it can pass herpes and hepatitus, so know who you're playing with. Oh and, urine has not been known to pass hiv, as far as studies have shown.
And I have never.... um... well, I haven't ever... um... right now at this moment I'm not engaged in watersports. ;)

I believe that the third Judge from that singing show is Jessica Simpsons Daddy ? It's funny you all talked about that show cause i saw the last 5 min of that suck-filled show last night, but yeh he looked like Jessica Dad ( who's her Manager too.) but I must admit i like her New song. the Video takes me back to the days of gay roller skate nite in Berkeley Ca.

So, Sal-E, you went to Michigan and did not stop by Bay City to visit? Hmph! Well, I never!
Seriously, I am envious that you have seen Saugatuck, because I haven't been there yet. My partner and his late ex used to own a cottage in Saugatuck, and they went up nearly every weekend. They and a group of guys known as the "Bay City Queens," were all known for being total snobs and nasty biotches. He's told me some stories of things that went on at their cottage and...well....it's probably not good to post in a public forum...
It was also in Saugatuck that he met Eartha Kitt before one of her performances. He and his ex got to go see her in her hotel room, and when they walked in on her, she was sitting in a chair without her wig on and was...brace yourself...knitting. He said he felt his universe caving in all around him.
So, with all of this history and glamour, do you think he has taken me yet? Heck, no! Well, I'm glad you have gotten to go, anyway. Maybe next time you're in Michigan you could visit Madonna's birthplace and see little ol' us? I'm sure my partner and I would love to show you around, and if he doesn't, I definitely will.
Loved the show, as always! You guys make my day brighter and I try never to miss a show. Toodles for now.

Sometimes I wish I were a straight guy just so I could be on the show. What I really need is a Queer Eye for the Lesbian! ;)

Hey fellas and a hot WOOF to my SAL-E!
Just wanted to comment that pup Don is NOT the piss queen, I am! Just make sure you don't eat asparagus before engaging in any type of WS! EWWW... Diet sodas too! For best results, drink plenty of regular water! If you want a little flavor, drink lots of coffee! Okay, getting way too far into this....
And don't worry, pup Don and I will be there at the M&G ready to greet everyone!
Looking forward to your visit! I'm sure it will be shockingly good ;)
Keep it kinky!
