We just love Halloween and most things that go bump in the night so we’re going for a horror holiday!
Our good friends Silky Jumbo and Chicago Now Blogger Michael Lehet join us as we visit Cursed Chicago. No, its not a memorial to the 2016 Olympic Games or to the the Cubs’ losing streak, it’s a big tent on Grand Ave featuring a house of horrors.
Along with Silky and the Scooty and Jojo Show, we’re hosting Beast Feast at Cursed Chicago which will showcase some of the best drag, burlesque and performance art in the city as pre-entertainment before you enter the Chronicles of the Cursed.
Listen as we talk to some of the organizers of the event and the monsters that stalked Fausto with live rats.
We’re going to DC this weekend for the National Equality March. We really hope to see you there as we’re meeting up with Chicago’s chapter of Join the Impact northeast corner of Lafayette Square.
Also, join us on Saturday night for Tom Goss’ performance at Miss Pixies Backroom Palace and then afterward at Nellie’s Gay Sports Bar.

For many men, places like Steamworks provide them with the ability to escape the outside world and enter a sexualized space where they can meet other. It’s there for community, or as they say in their ads, to work out, have fun and play. And by play, we mean have sex.

Steamworks works hard to create a healthy atompshere where men practice responsible sexual practices. They provide Free HIV testing and education about HIV/STDs and AIDS to their guests, helping them to lead active, healthy, normal sex lives. They encourage people to be responsible, and to use condoms. What’s not to love about Steamworks?
It’s not for everyone, but it’s nice to know it’s there. Listen as we talk with the sexy and smart Nirmalpal Sachdev, Director of Health Information and Education Programs for Steamworks.

Gay pride season goes into full swing this year as thousands of leather men and women, sexual fetishists and their fans gathered at the Palmer House Hilton in downtown Chicago to celebrate, meet and compete for the title of International Mr. Leather 2007, or I.M.L.
The annual I.M.L. Conference is the place in the Midwest to go every year to get your freak on and check out just about every sexual fetish imaginable, especially those that appeal to gay men. Originally started as a bar contest by Chuck Renslow in the 1970s, it has grown to be one of the largest events of it’s kind, with several other “feeder contests” happening as well, including the Mr. Bootblack and Pecs and Personality Physique Competition. In the 1960’s some hippies came up with a counter cultural religion based on eastern hindu/buddism, and in the 1980’s some drag queens came up with a performance festival who’se cultural impact on gays, drag queens, fashion and performance reach far and wide (and on this show as well.)
