San Francisco drag queen Cookie Dough on the Feast of Fools podcast! For over a decade Cookie Dough has been camping it up with the best of them on many stages in San Francisco including Trannyshack and at the live stage production of the Golden Girls as well as at her own “The Monster Show.”

Today we bring yet another fabulous San Francisco drag queen, Cookie Dough. According to Cookie’s website, Cookie was “born” in 1990 as a whimsical performance for a friends birthday party but it was her work as a stage technician at the now defunct Josie’s Juice Bar and Cabaret that inspired her to take to the stage.

Listen as Marc Felion and me, Fausto Fernós talk with Cookie Dough about how Halloween is in danger of being canceled by the San Francisco municipal government, race and gender in drag queens, and her creative and romantic relationship with Michael Burton Chu.

What’s Cookie Dough’s favorite food? It’s not cookies.

You can catch Cookie Dough her over the top show “The Monster Show” every second and fourth Saturday at Harvey’s bar and she’s a regular performer at Trannyshack at the Stud Bar in San Francisco on Tuesdays.

Like a Pandora’s’ box of make-up, the Feast of Fools makes you feel fabulous!

Don’t miss our LIVE PODCASTS: Sunday Sept. 30 at Akbar in Los Angeles and Wednesday Oct. 7 at the Stud Bar in San Francisco. This will be a once in a lifetime experience to meet all the Feast of Fools in one place: Fausto Fernós, Marc Felion, Miss Ronnie, Sal-E and Amanda Steinstein (as well as our remote buddies, Ronn Vigh, Heklina, Marsian and Steven Peterson.)

  8. Maia says:

Wow, that interview took a really interesting turn… I enjoyed it — The Darker Side of Drag. Thanks for going there. It was completely unexpected.

Fausto, your inner lesbian is showing. ;) Don’t worry, I like her. Not that a guy can’t engage in some conscious raising and processing when he wants to! I’m just jibing you.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta get back to sharpening my pitchfork…

  9. Another drag queen who is in the Golden Girls show, I think that would be so funny to go thrift shopping with cookie dough. I love thrift shopping.
Two drag queens in a row, pretty neat guys.

  10. PupDon says:

What a great show! Cookie Dough was absolutely charming. I was so happy you mentioned Stevie Nicks. I adore her. She is actually sober now and has been keeping off the weight. But yeah, the early 90’s were not kind to her. It was the Klonopin that did it. She was so out of it during that time and gained a bunch of weight, and she actually made and album that even she hates. Poor Stevie.

Can you tell I’m an obsessed fan? LOL!

  11. Ventura79 says:
