Ben’s back in town to perform at Mary’s Attic this Friday and Saturday and we highly recommend the show.
We chat with Ben about his FAME moment when he started posing for “artistic” photos and wound up naked with only his ukelele to cover his manhood.
Madonna’s was awfully courageous to do a collaboration with Justin Timberlake, after all, the last diva to share the stage with him had a wardrobe malfunction that left her titty a poppin’ in front of millions of eyes.
We borrowed some of Madonna’s courage and took on her invitation to create our own cover and video of the song, “Four Minutes.”
Madge is picking the “best ones” to feature in a TV special. We’re SO wanting to be in this. Will it happen? Only if you believe in faeries.
The controversial memorial to the the gay victims of the Holocaust was unveiled in Berlin. The memorial is simple grey rectangular stone and features a video clip of two men kissing.
Some people are comforted that the memorial is ready for the 75th anniversary of the Nazis raid and book burning of the Magnus Hirschfeld’s Institute, which was run, of course by Magnus Hirschfeld, an early gay activist. The Institute advocated sex education, contraception, the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, women’s emancipation, worldwide civil rights and the social acceptance for gay and transgender people in a time when most people couldn’t even begin to discuss these things.
This raid on the Institute signaled the beginning of the persecution of gays under Nazism and some people say that the famous pictures and archival newsreel film of Nazi book-burnings are usually of Hirschfeld’s library ablaze.
On a local note, Henry Gerber, founder of Chicago’s Society for Human Rights in 1924, the first gay rights organization in the United States, was in contact with the Hirschfeld Institute and was inspired by the German homophile emancipation movement. The local gay and lesbian Gerber-Hart library, is partly named after him.

I’m the dumbass that put my comments about Ben in the wrong spot yesterday. I LOVE THIS MAN!!! he’s so damn funny and I loved all the stuff on his Myspace profile. I’m listening to the podcast now and hope it never ends!
Inside the heart was my name in Korean but I did it wrong. So I re-signed it in the bottom left corner in the back, it says “Matt” in korean. Glad you enjoyed it. I am working on more paintings at the moment that go with that one from its series. I’ll have to come to the fan art exibit. And I am also doing a FoF ipod cover for the third generation ipod nano. Oh almost forgot. On the twins thing. I am friends with too twins here and they are twin boys, one is gay the other isn’t. They’re both wonderful although Xavier (the gay one) isn’t as hot as Link (str8 one) but they are still both adorable they look like Hollister models *drool*. I hate that I cant tell them apart, and they even used to switch their clothes mid day to screw with everyones heads. Until Xavier’s boyfriend kissed Link accidentally. Which was hilarious. but yeah, great show and I absolutely love Ben, he’s a doll. So, yeah.

it pains me to say this but everytime fausto does a musical “collaboration” with a guest it almost always ends up a hot mess (and i say that lovingly!) but this version of 4 minutes rocked!!! the best part of the whole thing was marc! YAH! ;-D
Once again, I love Ben, I think he’s hilarious and very witty.
The song at the end “Unshaven” was even better because my roommate (female) and good friend (homosexual male) spent the other day talking to upset my friend (hetrosexual male). The topic of conversation though was “squatting over mirrors” (talking about shaving where you can’t see).
Lovely episode.
