Thank you for mentioning the Pope’s stance on condom use. It is truly appalling, and when I first read about it yesterday, I couldn’t wait to hear what my favorite podcasters would say. In terms of the deaths and sickness that have arisen because of the Catholic church’s stance on condom use and HIV, a case could be made that this position constitutes a “crime against humanity”, particularly when research so clearly shows that condom use does not promote promiscuity and is effective against sexually transmitted diseases.
The County with the pink underwear inmates is Maricopa County. The sheriff of Maricopa County (Phoenix Area) is Joe Arpaio and considers himself “the toughest sheriff in America.” The jail is also in the middle of the desert and is actually a bunch of tents put together on a dirt lot surrounded by fences.

I’m from Italy… here the pope says whatever he wants on anything and our politicians don’t argue with him because of the (supposed) votes he brings at election time. It’s disgusting!
