Profound, beautiful and emotional- that’s Vermont musician Gregory Douglass.
Upon graduating high school, Gregory was presented by his schools’ headmaster with a music award and an unusual piece of advice: Don’t go to college and just pursue a musical career.
On today’s show Gregory is in the home studio playing songs from his new album Battler. Listen as Gregory talks about how he was forced to edit his scandalous music video “Cathedrals” where he portrays a sexy priest who gets a little gay action on the side.
Gregory’s wrapping up his national tour and heading back to Vermont, one of the recent states to recognize marriage equality. Why’s the Maple Syrup state so sweet when it comes to love?
Cincinnati’s masked superhero the Shadow Hare now has an arch-enemy, and he’s dirt cheap.
Kylie Minouge comes to America, will she bring her red disco skull and sexy male dancers?
Miss Botswana gets the same sex marriage question at a pageant and wins.
And hilarious ways to mess up your resume-by skipping that comma: I LIKE TO COOK, DOGS.
Shoutout to Don & Shawn in Burlington Vermont for encouraging Gregory to come on the show!

Fausto & Mark –
Thanks for the shout out! This is Shawn (Don’s in the kitchen jerking off with over-priced maple syrup). I am so happy that Gregory finally made it on the show. We never miss a podcast and love the show. If you are ever in Vermont, we’ll show you a good time…
Shawn
How good of a good time?
Russell Simmons was married to Kimora Lee Simmons (she was a model in the ’90’s) and he’s a HUGE music producer. He’s also known Russel Simmon’s Def Comedy Jam.
I think it was a little bit of a surprise to everyone that he supports gay marriage because hip-hop tends to come off as homophobic.
I meant, he’s also know FOR Russell Simmon’s Def Comedy Jam.
I’ve just listened to the show. Love it! thank you guys for bring Gregory for bringing to the show. He’s got another fan now. His music is wonderful and very unique. You guys are fabulous also!! Looking forward to hearing the next show.
I loved ‘Cathedrals.’ I usually need to hear a song a few times before I start to like it, but I loved that first time! Gregory’s voice & singing technique reminds me at times of Gavin DeGraw… not saying he’s copying him or anything; he still sounds unique. And I like Gavin DeGraw anyway.
Fausto is correct about Russell Simmons designing jewelry. Here’s the proof. http://www.upscaleswagger.com/2008/12/18/video-russell-simmons-discusses-simmons-jewelry-co/
Wow, I know I am late posting this but great show…
As a Gaudiya Vaisnava (Hare Krishna) I realy liked the smattering of the Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra through out the show, way to go Fausto! And I DO go chant it in the street Mark!
I listened to this on mt Birthday and it made my day!
Happy Birthday OGMALOKI! Glad you enjoyed the show.
I loved Cathedrals too, but more as he played it just by himself and a guitar. I might just buy the album, but his oh-my-goodness-I-could-come type of voice and singing makes the drums and bass just a disturbance.
More of him and his singing! ;D
