When, I decided to lash out at Chris it was because I am strong about my feelings. I knew people would hate me or love me for it. I never knew his fans or himself would respond the way they have! I dont regret saying what I said, I just think I could of said it in another way to not sound so hateful…but that was the moment. I thank everyone who has been behind me 100%! When the boys asked me to first be on this show it was because I am a vocal person. Tons of you may agree with what I say or not…but thats why they wanted me on show. Not because Im just some trans girl. Yes, I maybe a transsexual but there’s so much more to me! And I’m greatful lots of you are seeing that. I know you hate when you have to listen to drag queens and trannies on here because your gay people. Gay people want to hear other gays talk about their lives and happenings. But take a moment and know we are all in the same boat, we are struggling to have acceptance. I love gay people so much but so many gay people dont want to give credit to transsexuals or drag queens because they feel they cant identify with them. In all reality you can identify with them! Just open your eyes and ears and imbrace people they might have something really great to say. Or they may not!

I was a theatre nut, I studied theatre from the age of 13-25, its a major reason Why I did drag…because being a flaming male it was hard to get a role. So i gave up that dream. It’s a lot of work to get on these podcast and talk about urself or put a video up for the world to see. It can be scarey…its like stage fright you never know how people are going to take it. I am just me, take it or leave it. I miss the stage but I love the internet because I perform a song or talk on my you tube page and have a broader audience then what I would get in a theatre or a bar. But Fausto is right, the net is becoming the next place to express who you are through art! So props to everyone!!! Im just happy to be a part of something so great! This family of people are amazing!

This topic is the best so far, its putting people on sides and making them discuss it! Its coming to the forefront!!! We have to thank Fausto and Marc for working so hard to make this work. So many people dont know how hard they work and the pressure it takes to do this show…but its a lot of work!!! Show them you love, donate money, buy a tshirt or send em a kind email! It shows you love and respect what they do to bring you the best in GLBT entertainment! AND YES GayLesbianBisexual and TRANSGENDERED entertainment! It takes a lot of effort to create a popular, original video blog. If you don’t believe me, just try it yourself.

I see so many creative people unnecessarily suffering abuse from bar owners, pageant organizers and theater companies and I think this needs to stop.

I encourage everyone who reads this to dip their toes in the waters of online expression, just to see what creative freedom feels like. It may be scary at first but once you find your niche, you may really groove on it!

Every time new media comes to be, some people associated with traditional forms feel threatened and try to crap on the new form of entertainment.

There is a rich value to theater that will never be replaced, yet for some reason people working in traditional forms of media (painting, theater, orchestral music, ballet) try to negate the validity of the new (performance art, hip hop, podcasts, video blogs).

We can have the new and old co-exist in peaceful harmony.

Stage actors BALKED at the “movies.” Then silent movie actors balked at the “talkies.” The talkies balked when “color films” emerged. And then there was television and now comes the internet.

Someday the talent born from the internet will cry foul over some new type of media that will come along someday.

What will that be? Holograms? Smell-O-Vision? 4-D porn? I don’t know but when it happens you’ll hear about first on FOF.

Toro- I think it’s really exciting to see queer folks documenting their torment and abuse, fighting back by putting the injustices online in a place where everyone can see it.

I belived the rumors that Chris was a plant, but after talking to him for a good hour on the phone before and after the interview I can assure you he’s the real deal.

But it’s understandble the frustration people feel with wanting their own content to have attention online, and therefore attacking the guy because they feel his success lacks merit. I think it’s pretty clear that the passion, emotions, and chaotic innocence in his video stand on their own.

I’m glad you guys addressed the rumors about Chris being a media plant. Interestingly enough I was a fan of Chris’ videos until I heard speculation on the show, several times, that Chris was being backed in the same way as lonelygirl. I am now happily back in the fold.

Kennidi- I think Chris looks hot as a “girl with a flat ass chest”. He doesn’t need fake boobs to be a hot bitch.

I know plenty of “straight-acting” gay guys who talk crap all the time about transsexuals, transvestites, drag queens, fems, insert non-abercrombie stereotype here….And I always say to them that maybe they should step back and look at what they are saying. Those same guys are the ones who pine for the days that gays will get equality and acceptance. All the while they abhor anything different from themselves. How can we expect straight people to be open minded to same-sex loving people if we cannot approach all parts of our community with the same open-mindedness?

Saying, “If you’re going to be a girl, be a girl,” is extremely insensitive. Chris obviously likes being a guy, a guy that just happens to be very different from the stereotype cookie cutter guy. Many people think I am a stereotypical cookie cutter gay because I dress kinda preppy and whatnot, sometimes they write me off for that even. I refuse to be that guy and write off people like Chris who are brave enough to not change who they are to make other people happy. Just like I appreciate people like Kennidi that were willing to fight through a lot of adversity to be who they are.

All of them should be celebrated; it is those people that make me proud of my community.

I grew up a lot earlier than you did Chris, in a time when gays were not even in the forefront like they are today! First movie I ever seen or knew of that was remotely gay was Too Wong Foo…. So yes I have a right to say what i said… I said what no one will tell u! But reality is we’re two people maybe a lot a like…but the only Chris I know is the one full of himself… “I like the hear my self sound fucked up…” Now come on, who in their right mind say that! When you get older and look back on this u will laugh and have become a better person! At ur age I was full of myself too!

And yes, of course the Feast of Fools needs money. Everyone needs some. But the important difference is that Feast of Fools hasn’t turned this venture into some advertising-laden, ugly Myspace wannabe. Instead, there is a very light amount of advertising, that is always relevant and tastefully done.

We just believe that the individual voice has a lot more meaning in today’s world than it had in the past. Old media has access to sales reps, who have personal connections to descion makers in large companies with an enormous advertising budget.

We want to make a living, and a good living at doing this podcast. We want to keep our independent voice. We want to work with a diverse line of advertisers, sponsors, as well as keep our audience’s needs as our #1 priority.

On an interesting note, our local internet service provider, AT&T started throttling their internet connection, although their official word isn they aren’t. We learned about this from our hosting company Dreamhost (a green company).

Now we have to use Secure FTP to upload our 40 MB files to our server. This means that people who aren’t aware of this “security” measure will think it’s impossible to upload large files to the internet and therefore think that having a video blog or podcast is impossible or more expensive than they thought before.

Don’t forget to continue to lobby for Net Neutrality!
