Standard Podcast [55:15m]:
Halloween is the perfect holiday for slobs. All those unraked leaves, cobwebs and dead animals rotting in your front yard almost look normal.
Even though you dress like a bum everyone now everybody thinks you’re just trying out your costume a couple of days early.
On Halloween, strange is the new black.
What are you dressing up for Halloween? We’re going as panda’s with fangs! On today’s Feast of Fools, Gigi Deluxe, our favorite devilish vixen, artist and mom shares with us her secrets on dressing up and having a fabulous Halloween.

Gigi looks like she’s about to kick Elivra or Tura Santana’s butt in her new black and velvety smooth wig. For our local mistress of the dark, every day is Halloween. Gigi is a real-life Morticia Adams. She even dresses up her own kids in such great costumes the other kids run away in terror.
You can pretty much break down every Halloween costume into either the zombie, vampire and drag queen categories.
What to be, what to be? Why not pick all three?
Listen to today’s show as we give you some great ideas on how to make your zombie, vampire or drag queen costume fabulous, and save a little money too.
Do clothes make the zombie? Are feather boas kryptonite for drag queens?
And should vampires avoid using fake blood? After all, you want to be flashy AND trashy, not scummy and slummy.
Join Gigi on Saturday November first for her fabulous Halloween Fetish Ball at the Kinetic Playgroud in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. Come and play wiht all the fetish
She’s also hosting Ache, a night of art, fashion and music at 903 W 19th Street, in Chicago on November 14th from 6pm-midnight. Visit Gigi Deluxe on myspace for more details.

Kids, say hello to your new mommy!
Teri Yaki’s been working hard to transform herself into Amanda Steinstein, for our very special What Not to Wear/Feast of Fools viewing party at Hydrate in Chicago on Oct 10.
We’ll have a blast watching on a jumbo screen as we raid Amanda’s closest, try on some of her clothes, stalk her around town and then surprise her with a makeover in this reality TV show.
The crew told us that our episode is probably the gayest one ever and that Amanda was the most challenging person (read:worst dressed) they have ever had on the show. This is a must watch episode- plus, prizes, games, gifts and giveaways! I didn’t happen to mention the bar is “hosted” did I? Glug glug!
Listen as Teriyaki shares her roller coaster drug bust story and shares her insight into Chicago’s drag wars and why some people find drag queens so offensive.
Is everyone coming out? Lindsay Lohan shyly confirms her lesbian love affair with DJ Samantha Ronson on the sex-advice radio show Loveline.
Meanwhile- Clay Aiken’s fundamentalist female fans are shocked and awed over his bold coming out on this week’s People Magazine.
But honestly, who didn’t know Clay Aiken was gay? He was just saying what everyone was thinking.
A Chinese Girl was arrested for forcing her college roomates to get fat. Her roommates thought she was the granddaughter of a mob boss and forced them to give her money and to do ridiculous things like gain weight. If the girls didn’t do what she said she could make them disappear.
Condalezze Rice got skipped over for Sarah Palin and how kooky Kirk Cameron kisses women in movies without breaking his wedding vows.
PLUS- We’ve got a special Little Britain USA Giveaway! Listen to today’s show for details and check out the youtube videos in the forums.
Fresh funny and fabulous- Feast of Fools.

Today’s show is hot hot hot! We’ve got two intense performers, internet sensation Chris Crocker and drag war drag queen Regina Upbright.
Chris Crocker’s back with a hot new single- Mind in the Gutter- and it’s on top of the charts.
Click here to get it now on iTunes for 99 cents.
Join us as Chris talks about why he left YouTube, will he ever come back, the inspiration for launching his music career and which videos never made online- what was on those videos?
Chris also tells us about a certain model ex-boyfriend who he recently broke up with. In case you missed our first interview with Chris Crocker done in May of this year, be sure to check it out. Click here to see the Mexican soda pop commercial Chris made with Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite.
Regina definitely ended up a causality after her last appearance on the Feast as Fools in an episode we now lovingly call the drag queen wars. You can read the comments yourself about the public’s and her fellow drag queen’s reaction to the show. Let’s just say, it wasn’t kind.
It’s hard to keep a good bitch down and Regina is back to tell about the subsequent fallout over her words about a queen who did or didn’t “know her words.”

We also chat about which local drag queen looks like Jocelyn Wildenstein and the horrors of plastic surgery. Just how did this wealthy New York City woman get any doctor to allow her to look so bizzare? How much is too much? Would you get it done? And if so, what? We want to know!
Say hello to Haunea- the penis shaped planetoid named after the Hawaiian god of fertility. It is one of five know planetoids and has two satellites “Hi’iaka” in honour of Hawaii’s patron goddess and “Namaka” a water spirit.
Nepal grants legal rights to lesbians, gay men and trans people. Bishnu Adhikari, 21, became the first person to receive a “third gender” classification on a legal document.
The musical highway gets paved into silence. A section of a California highway had grooves cut into the road surface to play the William Tell Overture which is alos the theme to the Lone Ranger. neighbors complained that it was noisy and sounded awful.

If you love drag queens and Project Runway, today is the show for you!
We’ve got New York City’s very own Miss Understood of Screaming Queens talking about the Drag Queen Challenge on the hit reality TV show Project Runway.
Miss Understood spills the beans on how reality TV shows are taped and what it takes to make it big.
Join us as we talk about the designers we love, the ones we hate- and the clothes that made a lasting impression.
We watched the airing of the episode at Retro Fit in San Francisco. It’s a shop run by LeMay, one of the drag queens on the show. She who wore the awful dress with the unbelievable collar. As we watched poor Jerrell construct the crazy drag costume, a crushed LeMay kept screaming “No, don’t do it!” The party goers loved her enthusiastic drama.

RuPaul made her first television appearance in quite a while, but why did she look so awful? That wig looked like it had gone through the washing machine. We know, it’s hard to “do a twirl” or “sashay, shante” but just pass a comb through it once or twice. They even used Joan Collins level Vaseline on the lens and she still looked like a hung-over Sarah Jessica Parker!
A cross dressing thief in Florida snatched a woman’s purse but the person left behind a very important clue- a fake breast. Well, it may not be an important clue but the police are processing the water filled condom for fingerprints and DNA evidence.
I think we finally figured out why McCain picked Alaskan Governor Sarah Pallin for his vice president. She is a metaphor for the republican party. She is a loving mother who’s child has strayed and now she is making everything better by getting her pregnant daughter married. She’ll do the same with her faltering party and steer it on the right track.
Her speech at the Republican National Convention seemed to say everything the party wanted to cover- terror, taxes and energy. That’s the great thing about rhetoric, it doesn’t even have to be true to resonate.

Most people look insane wearing tiaras. Even still, gay men and women all across the world compete in pageants that cost a ton of money to participate in and for what? The competition is often so stacked against you and it’s more about who you know rather than how fierce a queen you are. And even if you do win, the titles don’t necessarily advance your career.
So why do these ladies do it? Because it’s fun. Just like thousands of young people line up to be rejected on American Idol television show, some gay men just think it’s a blast to go through all the trouble and sacrifice to put on a show.
Drag ties us to something powerful and we enjoy the temporary illusion we create when lip syncing and instead of being just another gay guy, we’re Diana Ross! A little hair and make-up and the right outfit and attitude we’ve become royalty. Queen for a night.
On today’s show one of our local drag queens and behind-the-scenes pageant diva Richard Biasis, better known as Regina Upright, joins us to talk about what inspires drag queens to entertain others and themselves.
Why are these gay men spending so much time and effort to imitate strong powerful women? What makes Cher such an icon?
Listen as Marc Felion, Richard Biasis and me, Fausto Fernós talk about the British man dying from eating too many “fairy cakes” and the 39 year old Japanese man who got caught trying to show up at a high school trying to pass as a teenage schoolgirl wearing a uniform, makeup and long wig.
Oh, and yes, we unveil the DIRT on most drag queens in Chicago. What are Sal-E and Jo-jo really like? Who poured a pint of beer into my suitcase? Who stole my makeup?
Giving you the dirt you love- Feast of Fools.
