Who is the craziest drag queen of them all? Take your pick! The audience favorite musical spectacle, Snow White and the Seven Drag queens is back at Hydrate in Chicago. Today we’re talking to writer director Tony Lewis who also plays Dopey and his gal pal, Omicah House who plays Grumpy the hungover drag queen.
In this twisted version of the fairy tale, Snow White plays a hairstylist who provides much needed solace and protection to seven drag queens who are harassed by an evil drag queen landlord. Rent and drag queens- sound familiar?
Tony use to choreograph for Lady Vera Parker, the notorious Chicago drag queen who was arrested for theft by deception for renting out apartments that didn’t exist. What was it like teaching Lady Vera Parker to dance?
