On the 40th anniversary of Stonewall, Chicago’s Gay Pride Parade left the streets WIDE open to pedestrians hours after the parade ended. The thrilling street party was a fitting tribute to the riots that sparked the modern gay rights movement.

The jubilant bacchanal brought an unprecedented number of people to Boystown to dance and groove to Michael Jackson’s music. Who knew the King of Pop’s hit songs would rule the gay parade?
