In order to “to open up discussion and provoke thought” Ariel Safdie and her brother David created a Flying Spaghetti Monster statue and placed it on a Tennessee courthouse lawn. What a delicious way to worship the almighty noodly creator, don’t you think?

Yes! Beautiful!
Aren’t you glad you’ve heard the truth now?
All raise your fork to the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Although I thought the whole idea of the FSM was to show Christians why we need separation of church and state. Yet at this crazy courthouse anything goes.
The FSM is all cute and noodley but how many people will die in his name after we are all gone?
None. That is the beauty of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. He does not advocate violence, and nor do His followers. However, He does advocate pirates.
And Christ preached love. Messages do get distorted and we’ll see how this one changes over time.
mmmmm….the communion must be delicious!
