All New Blue

Blue colors are  hard to come by as they are often expensive to produce or they fade over time.
Scientists discovered a whole new blue while mixing manganese oxide, which is black, with other chemicals and heating them to high temperatures. After cooling, the manganese ions absorbed red and green wavelengths of light and reflected only blue.
