Kind of excited that Wanda Sykes has her own late night talk show, I think it’s pretty funny but others are panning it. Let’s face it, even David Letterman was kind of awkward in its first season. Even with new media, how many openly gay talk show hosts are there in this world on right now? Ellen, Graham Norton, Dan Savage, Andy Cohen, us and and now Wanda. Oprah and Anderson don’t count. Should we start a club of some kind? What kind of refreshments should we serve?
Did anyone catch it? What do you guys think about it?
I’m wondering if Wanda’s a better guest than an interviewer. Check out her appearances on Oprah and Jay Leno on her YouTube Channel.

I DVR’ed the first episode of the Wanda Sykes Show with great excitement. I love Wanda, and really enjoy her stand up.
I made it through about 15 minutes of the show when I just finally gave up and deleted it. It was boring. Worse it wasn’t funny. At all. Not even close.
I should give it another chance I guess, but it really wasn’t good. It didn’t even provide a hint or glimmer of anything good to make want to see the next episode. It bummed me out.
I’ll be following it because I like Wanda and her comedy, and think the show has potential. But why not work with podcasters and bloggers who are already doing what she wants to do? (hint hint) It would be nice to see Michael Buckley be a regular commentator or Love B Scott on her show. They’re both looking for work!
